Ipod Shuffle Generation 1 Manual

I need help with my ipod Shuffle (1st generation). It should be able to hold about 120 songs. I can only get 8

I have no idea how to make my song files smaller in itunes to fit more songs on my ipod. I tried following the directions in the manual but I have had no luck. I added most of my personal cd’s into the itunes library and can’t seam to shrink them to fit into the ipod. Any suggestions??

Just try and press restore on your itunes and see if you delete everything in ipod but not itunes then sync when done to put your songs in
