Can i use a different library to upload songs onto my shuffle?

i am buying an ipod shuffle, . can i use Windows Media Player instead of itunes?

you have too use itunes, and it is free to download, it just might take a while if you have slow internet. If you have songs in windows media player that you want to put into iTunes, you have to right click on the song, and click open containing folder, or something like that, and it will open a new window, with the song, and all you have to do is left click on the song, and drag , and drop in the itunes library. It also may be faster to redownload all of the songs, and put them directly into the library
