My Ipod cord won’t work?

ok so i have a shuffle 2nd generation and my cord that hooks to my charger and the computer wont work. I have seen the ones that just hook in to your earphone hole thing and has a usb but mine has a holder type thing that connects to it. does anyone know where i can find one?

just restart your computer and your ipod. and then hook up the cord .
do this several times.
yup this happens i dont know why though!
